Field Engineer with Languages

Description

For our international Client - Global leader within video and software solutions providing area. We are currently looking for:

Field Support Engineer
 

Main duties

  • Provide Onsite and telephone support to Company’s end-users and channel partners.
  • Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction is maintained in Company’s support services and products.
  • To provide support primarily for the nominated territory.
  • Take a pro-active role in ensuring we maintain a European centre of excellence for the support of all present and future products.
  • Manage valid referrals to the Escalations team.
  • Work with end users, channel partners and other teams to ensure successful system installations, and other field engineering activities.
  • Undertake specific project work, as directed by manager.
  • Provide technical support for pre-sales project opportunities where required
  • Weekend work in support of projects is required
  • Can expect up to 70% travel, rest of time - remotely

Say Yes, If you have:

  • Communicative English and fluency in one of the following: German, French
  • An experienced customer facing support professional, you will ideally have worked within the European subsidiary of a multi-national organisation, and have experience working with demanding ‘high-touch’ customers. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer management skills, coupled with the ability to work in high pressure environments
  • Experience as a service desk/help desk

 An additional advantage will be:

  • Good understanding of ISDN and Private Digital Networks.
  • Knowledge of videoconferencing and audio-visual equipment
  • Knowledge of international standards, especially with reference to audiovisual and data conferencing, and LAN/WAN networks.
  • Experience supporting videoconferencing and audio-visual equipment (over IP, ISDN)
  • Good understanding of IP.  Familiarity with firewalls, routed networks, video/audio across IP e.g. VoIP, issues which can disrupt video/audio traffic.
  • Cisco CCNA (at least ICND course taken).
  • Microsoft MCSA (full or part qualified). Active Directory & DNS and Lync 2010/2013 knowledge desirable, as is any Unified Communications experience on any platform.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Virtualization products
  • Excellent customer focus and adaptability.
