For our Client, SSC located in Łódź, we are looking for: 


Statutory Accountant

On this position you will have the opportunity to being a part of a project of centralising statutory accounting for different entities, and we are looking for a person to be in a key role for this transition. Role also includes liaison with central and local audit teams for any issue resolution and complexities whilst at the same time pushing through timely completion of end-to-end statutory accounting process. 

Responsibilities:
  • Providing financial accounting services to  European operating entities in alignment with overall SSC Operational Excellence mission, ensuring adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls. 
  • Preparation of statutory adjustments and bridge workings from US GAAP to IFRS / other local GAAP and related tax provisions
  • Maintenance, input and review of statutory and tax ledgers in SAP HANA system environment  
  • Support external service providers of collecting supporting material for tax return preparation and filing 
  • Main point of coordinator and all audit requirements
  • Playing a key role in the SSC quality framework through the Balance Sheet Review and Risk Management program. Ensure delivery of agreed service levels to process partners. 
  • Support other Record to Report team members on accounting matters.
  • Proactive management of key process partner relationships (internal / external), regular communication, proactive issue resolution. 

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3+ years PQE (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), 
  • 3-5 years relevant accounting experience 
  • Having previous IFRS knowledge is a pre-requisite for the role. 
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end statutory close process, audit liaison and other external reporting matters; preferably in an international environment where monthly management reporting is completed under US GAAP and conversion to IFRS  / Local GAAP is required on annual basis.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for stakeholders across the organization as it relates to external reporting status of individual entities with the support of RTR manager.
  • Verbal and written communication skills must be excellent 
  • Ability to research and analyze transactions, summarizing financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow and other statements for management review and ability to review financial statements of foreign subsidiaries where required.  
  • Ability to assist with external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors
  • Second European language is an advantage
