For one of our clients- focused on developing mobile applications for the Health & Fitness category we are currently looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Managing Counsel.

Responsibilities:

 - A strong corporate and commercial law background

 - Consulting and in-house background with top-tier companies and a focus on multi-jurisdictional projects

 - Experience managing a team of legal professionals

 - Leading cross-jurisdictional legal projects and address legal and regulatory issues 

- Negotiating and drafting all legal documentation related to legal projects in question 

- Providing legal advice and guidance on corporate and general commercial matters to management, other key personnel and various departments within the organization 

- Ensuring that all cross-jurisdictional legal projects (including, M&A transactions) comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including securities regulations if applicable

- Managing the organization's risk and liability by proactively identifying and mitigating potential legal issues related to legal projects 

- Representing the organisation in negotiations and in legal proceedings related to legal projects in question, including M&A transactions as required 

- Staying informed of legal and regulatory changes and implement necessary changes to ensure continued compliance 

- Managing a team of legal professionals

Requirements:

- A law degree from a recognized university 

- A minimum of 7 years PQE at a recognized law firm and in-house focusing on cross-jurisdictional projects (preferably in the IT industry) 

- A lawyer qualified to practice in the UK and/or a country of the EEA

- A strong commercial law and M&A transactions background 

- Experience managing a team of legal professionals 

- Fluent business English (written and spoken)  

- High level of precision and accuracy, as well as strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills 

- High sense of responsibility accountability and strong communication skills 

- Business-oriented approach and strong project management skills
