Description

For one of our clients- focused on developing mobile applications for the Health & Fitness category we are currently looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Managing Counsel to lead and manage legal and compliance aspects of the products within the company (data protection and IP matters are out of the scope of this role). 

Responsibilities:

- A strong corporate and commercial law background in advising on the development and launch of new products 

- Consulting and in-house background with top-tier companies and a focus on multi-jurisdictional projects, and 

- Experience managing a team of legal professionals

- Leading and managaging legal and compliance aspects of launch and support of new products and projects in the US and/or the EU 

- Designing, implementing and supporting legal infrastructure for company’s products in close cooperation with product and marketing teams in order to ensure projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner 

- Providing strategic and practical legal advice based on regulations, case law, industry and market trends aimed at proactively identifying and managing risks and increasing product compliance (e.g., optimum legal framework and corporate structure to support the product and mitigate risks, incl. potential claims from regulatory bodies) 

- Staying on top of regulatory requirements, case law and market practice while implementing necessary changes to ensure continued compliance and keeping all the stakeholders in the loop

- Managing a team of legal professionals 

Requirements: 

- A law degree from a top-tier university 

- A minimum of 7 years PQE at a top-tier law firm and in-house in a tech company 

- A lawyer qualified to practice in the UK and/or an EEA country

 - A strong background in advising on the development and launch of new products from corporate and commercial POV 

- Experience managing a team of legal professionals 

-Fluent business English (written and spoken) 

- High level of precision and accuracy, as well as strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills 

- High sense of responsibility, accountability and strong communication skills 

- Business-oriented approach and strong project management skills
